Famous psychotherapist Anatoly Kashpirovsky, who rose to fame as a TV psychic in the late 80s and 90s, has died. He was 87 years old. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

This was reported by Andrey Malakhov's Telegram channel.

According to Russian media, Kashpirovsky's heart stopped. Relatives called an ambulance, but he could not be saved.

Kashpirovsky became a true phenomenon of the perestroika era. In the late 1980s, he gathered millions of viewers at screens, conducting mass television sessions of "healing" and hypnosis.

In the early 90s, he emigrated to the USA, but in the 2000s he returned to Russia, where he occasionally held meetings and sold water with his "installations."

Recall that about a year ago, in October 2025, Kashpirovsky was urgently hospitalized in Moscow due to complications from an oncological disease.

It is noted that he underwent radiation therapy. However, according to relatives, the psychotherapist himself did not particularly believe in it.
