A man suspected of intentionally causing serious harm to health has been extradited from Vietnam. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The incident occurred in November of last year. The suspect, while intoxicated, argued with his mother and stabbed her several times.
"After committing the crime, the suspect evaded the criminal prosecution authorities and was placed on the international wanted list," the prosecutor's office said.
During operational search activities, it was established that he was on the territory of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, and in June he was detained in Da Nang.
Then, at the request of the Prosecutor General's Office of Kazakhstan, he was extradited to the country. Currently, the suspect has been placed in a temporary detention facility.
