Amazon and G42 have shown interest in a major project in the Pavlodar region. This was stated by Kassym-Jomart Tokayev at the plenary session of the Foreign Investors Council. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Earlier, Kazakhstan became the first country in Central Asia to successfully launch two supercomputers. Legislation has been adopted to develop artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

In the Pavlodar region, the largest data campus in Central Asia with a capacity of up to 1 gigawatt – a cluster of data processing centers – will be created. The unique project will become a powerful hub uniting global capital and the world's leading technology companies.

"Amazon, G42 and other industry leaders have begun to consider the possibility of participating in this ecosystem," Tokayev said.

It is worth noting that the meeting of the Foreign Investors Council under the president is held annually. This time, the 38th plenary session was organized.
