Kazakhstan's major political force, the AMANAT party, has merged with the Adilet party. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev highly appreciated the merger process and thanked Mazhilis Chairman Yerlan Koshanov. "This decision will contribute to strengthening the country's political system and enhancing public harmony," Tokayev said.
AMANAT party chairman Yerlan Koshanov signed the merger agreement. Representatives of the Adilet party also supported the decision. The united party will operate under a new name.
According to political analysts, this merger will strengthen political stability in Kazakhstan and accelerate reforms. The merger is seen as an important step ahead of the 2026 parliamentary elections.
Recall that the AMANAT party was previously called Nur Otan and is considered the largest political organization in Kazakhstan. The Adilet party adheres to the ideas of justice and building a rule-of-law state.
