On September 6, six forest fires were registered on the territory of the state forest fund of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, fires occurred in five regions of the country. Two fires were recorded in Kostanay region, one each in East Kazakhstan, Karaganda and Pavlodar regions, as well as on the territory of the Semey Ormany reserve.

How the fires were detected

The fire sites were detected during aerial patrols by RSE Kazaviaormankorgau. Early detection systems and data from constant monitoring by the state forest guard were also used.

Firefighting measures

Forest guard employees, paratroopers of the aviation fire service, helicopters and special equipment were involved in extinguishing the fires.

Currently, specialists continue to extinguish fires in the Markakol State Nature Reserve and Almaty region. A Kazaviaormankorgau helicopter has been deployed to localize the fires.

Situation under control

The Ministry of Ecology stated that the spread of fire has been contained. The situation is under control.

The department called on Kazakhstanis to comply with fire safety requirements and be careful while resting in nature.
