On August 20, temporary power outages affected Bostandyk, Medeu, Almaly and Zhetysu districts of Almaty. Specialists of JSC "Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy" have been dispatched to the sites to determine the causes and restore power supply. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In Bostandyk district, the restriction was recorded at about 15:25. Consumers in the area of the Al-Farabi residential complex, Kargaly microdistrict and Kenesary Khan Street were temporarily left without power.
At about 15:30, interruptions occurred in Medeu district, near Shokai, Sarsenbaev and Shirokaya Shchel streets.
At 16:20, an emergency outage occurred in Almaly district, near Tur kebaev, Rozybakiev, Bogenbai Batyr streets and Raiymbek Avenue. JSC "Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy" reported that the cause was damage to two cells of the distribution point. Specialists are carrying out technical work to fully restore power supply.
In addition, emergency outages were recorded in Zhetysu district, near Serikov, Omarov, Selskaya, Zhumabaev, Seifullin and Bespakov streets. On the AZhK interactive map, these areas are marked as emergency outages.
According to the AZhK interactive map, the cause of the emergency outage in Almaly district is being determined. The expected restoration time is within four hours.
Meanwhile, from August 18 to 21, planned works are being carried out on power grids in Almaty, which may cause temporary power outages in various districts of the city. For August 20, restrictions were planned in Karagaily, Kalkaman-2, Shuakty and Kuanysh, as well as in some quarters of the central part of the city.
The causes of outages in other districts and the exact timing of full restoration have not yet been reported.
