An Almaty resident considered the pricing policy of an amusement park near the circus unfair, as it does not offer discounts for accompanying persons. She called on citizens to boycott the venue. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The woman was outraged that pregnant women and pensioners must pay the full entrance fee of at least 7,000 tenge, even though they obviously will not use the rides.

The park's official account states that pregnant women can enter for free upon presenting a supporting document. This also applies to first-group disabled persons. However, no discounts are provided for pensioners, although they are unlikely to go on carousels with grandchildren. The entrance rules were updated a week ago. Children up to 130 cm tall pay 4,000 tenge.

Those taller than 130 cm must pay the adult price. Meanwhile, 2GIS reported that a 7-year-old tall child was charged the full entrance fee.

Kursiv LifeStyle contacted the park administration. An employee explained that the height restriction applies to extreme rides. Therefore, taller children have a wider choice of thrilling attractions, so the ticket price increases. Regarding paid entry for pensioners, people over 70 can enter free of charge with a supporting document. The paid entry for all is explained by the fact that the ticket is valid for all rides, with no additional charges.

Overall, commenters did not share the woman's emotions and her desire to boycott the amusement park.

"I agree that it is very expensive for an accompanying person, but it is still cheaper than in other parks, where you have to pay for each ride, plus old and overpriced trains, horses, and spontaneous trade of various toys at every step,"

"There is a proposal to rank visitors using bracelets of different colors. Riders (7,000 tenge) — yellow, accompanying persons (1,000 tenge) — red. With red bracelets, entry to rides is prohibited. It's simple," users say.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle reported that the akimat will take back part of the Central Park (Gorky Park) from a private management company.
