Three residents of Almaty Region have been sentenced for kidnapping a woman, according to the court of Zhambyl Region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In the city of Taraz, three residents of Almaty Region kidnapped a 19-year-old resident of Zhambyl Region, forcing her into marriage. The victim had been in a close relationship with the organizer of the kidnapping for more than five years, but she refused to marry him, the court said.
Despite the woman's repeated refusals, the man decided to kidnap her and involved his acquaintances in the crime. The three men used force and abducted the victim during the daytime. The court sentenced each of the three defendants to three years in prison.
