Almaty athlete Anuar Akylbekov won a gold medal at the World Cup stage in roller freestyle. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The international competition took place in Lishui, China, with over 200 athletes from around the world participating. They competed in roller freestyle disciplines: Classic Slalom, Speed Slalom, Pair Slalom, Battle, Jump, and Slides.
Anuar Akylbekov showed the best result in the Slides discipline and took the top spot on the podium. In this discipline, athletes skillfully perform complex technical sliding elements on roller skates. Judges evaluate the complexity, speed, precision, and quality of execution.
It is worth noting that roller sport includes more than 14 disciplines. This sport is included in the program of major international multi-sport events such as the World and Asian Games.
