Two patients escaped from the Mental Health Center in Almaty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Volunteers of LIDER.KZ from Almaty region wrote about the escape on social media. According to them, people suffering from mental disorders need to be urgently found.

First patient – woman

A woman born in 1989 left the mental health center in Almaty on April 16 at approximately 09:00. She is 167 cm tall, of medium build, with brown eyes, dark blond long hair, and rashes on her face. She was wearing a dark blue velour jacket, purple trousers, and blue rubber slippers.

Second patient – man

The second missing patient is a 35-year-old man. He escaped from the mental health center on May 13 at approximately 08:00 at the address: Bostandyk district, Kekilbayuly Street, building 117A. His features: height 180 cm, medium build, grayish short hair, brown eyes, and a mole near his left eye.

Police statement

The Police Department of Almaty confirmed the information. According to police, the data on the disappearance of patients from the medical facility are two separate facts. The man and the woman left the medical facility on different days and have no relation to each other.

On both facts, the Bostandyk district police department has initiated search operations. Currently, operational-search activities are being carried out to establish the whereabouts of the citizens and return them to the medical facility.
