In Almaty, around 100 residents of a 16-story building were evacuated due to a fire in the parking area. Among them were 19 children. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The fire occurred in the Bostandyk district on Abai Avenue in the underground parking of a residential complex. The fire area was 5 square meters.
The first fire units arrived at the scene five minutes after the report. Rescuers evacuated residents via stairwells.
The fire was quickly extinguished. According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, there were no casualties.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that a detainee in Atyrau hit a police officer with his head four times.
