American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, finally performed at the Central Stadium in Almaty after the concert was postponed due to bad weather and a power outage. The show, originally scheduled for August 14, took place on the evening of August 15 and drew thousands of fans. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The spectacular sphere, large-scale pyrotechnics, and light effects turned the stadium into a world-class venue.

On August 14, the venue was buzzing with excitement: huge queues at security checks, photo zones, and exclusive merchandise (by the way, Ye Live At Almaty Central Stadium T-shirts sold out so quickly that by the second day they became scarce). However, an hour before the concert, a strong wind with a thunderstorm picked up, and at 21:05 the organizers announced a postponement.

After that, fans had quite legitimate doubts: would the concert happen at all? Especially given the scale of the stage and the huge amount of lighting and technical equipment.

On Saturday, August 15, dense crowds at the stadium entrance made it seem like there were even more people. It seemed that fans had already "rehearsed" standing in lines and arrived right at the start.

Despite the skepticism and hate around high ticket prices, the organizers deserve credit. Navigation, prompt volunteer assistance, security work, and a fast admission system avoided chaos and quickly let the multi-thousand crowd through.

The long-awaited show began almost without delay — at approximately 21:10.

The central element of the stage — a giant glowing sphere, on top of which Ye himself performed — immersed the audience in a completely alien performance. It changed lighting, various effects appeared on its surface, smoke rose around, and pyrotechnics accompanied the performance almost throughout the show.

A sheaf of pyrotechnic volleys, thick smoke, and a web of hundreds of laser beams visually turned the Central Stadium into a world arena. The only reminders that everything was happening in Kazakhstan were the glowing windows of nearby residential complexes, from where enterprising residents conducted online streams for those who did not get into the show.

Ye did not limit himself to material from recent years and compiled a program from different periods of his career. Among the performed hits were King, Can’t Tell Me Nothing, Ni**as in Paris, Mercy, Praise God, and so on.

For many fans, this became one of the main features of the show. The concert was not a presentation of one album, but a kind of retrospective of the rapper's career.

If the first day gave fans rather stress and uncertainty, the second became a kind of compensation. Light, smoke, a huge sphere, powerful sound, and especially a large amount of pyrotechnics made the concert one of the largest musical shows ever held in Almaty.

After the concert, social media filled with videos from the performance and emotional reviews from viewers. Users admit they cannot recover from the emotions. Some viewers separately praised the visual part of the concert.

Recall that the concert was organized by First Media Group with the participation of Freedom Ticketon, which provided the ticketing platform and ticket sales for the show.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that the Almaty police department reported that the concert of American rapper Kanye West (Ye), postponed from August 14 to 15, was held calmly and without incidents. The safety of spectators was ensured by about 2,500 police officers and National Guard servicemen.
