The press service of the Almaty akimat published the results of vehicle emission checks over the past six months. The highest number of violations was recorded in Alatau and Nauryzbai districts. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

Since the beginning of the year, 119,000 vehicles have been inspected at eco-posts. Violations of emission standards were found in 13,000 vehicles. The press service emphasized that monitoring of vehicle emissions is ongoing. Inspections were conducted for toxicity and smoke.

In Alatau and Nauryzbai districts, most cars are old models, so their emissions often exceed the norm. The akimat plans to take additional measures to address this issue. In particular, restrictions on the use of old cars and incentives for transitioning to environmentally friendly transport are being considered.

According to the akimat, inspections at eco-posts are carried out on a regular basis. These measures are aimed at improving air quality in the city. One of the main sources of air pollution in Almaty is vehicles, so controlling their emissions is important.

According to statistics, about 11% of inspected vehicles violated the standards. This figure has decreased compared to last year but remains high. The akimat continues to work on reducing violations.

To improve the environmental situation in Almaty, the akimat is implementing a number of programs. These include updating public transport, building bicycle lanes, and developing infrastructure for electric vehicles. These measures are expected to have a positive impact on the health of city residents.

In conclusion, the Almaty akimat is strengthening control over vehicle emissions and continuing to implement measures aimed at reducing the share of old cars.
