The Baisat market in Almaty, previously owned by the son of Kairat Satybaldy, was sold at an electronic auction for 24.77 billion tenge. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the electronic trading platform, on August 7, bidding took place for the sale of a 100% stake in the LLP "Center for Wholesale and Retail Trade".
The sale price was 24,772,753,285 tenge — the same as the starting price.
The description of the property states that the market is located at: Almaty, Zhetysu district, Severnoye Koltso Street, 7. The average annual number of employees of the enterprise is 64 people.
The seller was the Company for the Management of Returned Assets. The estimated value of the property was 28.64 billion tenge.
This is not the first attempt to sell Baisat, previously owned by Bauyrzhan Nursultan, the son of Kairat Satybaldy. The previous auction for 28.6 billion tenge did not take place due to the absence of participants.
After that, the starting price was reduced several times: first to 26.7 billion, and then to 24.77 billion tenge.
Thus, the current sale price turned out to be 13.4% lower than the estimated value of the asset.
Recall that in January 2024, the Almaty prosecutor's office reported that the Interdistrict Economic Court recognized transactions with the property of the Almaty Zhylu Holding complex, which later became known as the Baisat market, as invalid. The complex includes three objects with a total area of 4,221.4 square meters and a land plot of 1.4 hectares.
The asset was owned by affiliated companies "KazGerStroy Joint Venture" and Astana Financial Group, which belonged to Bauyrzhan Nursultan. After court proceedings, the stake in the market was returned to the state. Earlier, Kairat Satybaldy also voluntarily transferred most of the Baisat market to the state as part of a pre-trial investigation.
