The municipal state enterprise 'Almaty Parking' reported a profit of 258.8 million tenge in 2025, compared to 208 million in 2024, according to the enterprise's financial statements. Thus, the profit of 'Almaty Parking' increased by 24.4%. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
At the same time, the revenue of 'Almaty Parking' grew 2.4 times in 2025, reaching 1.8 billion tenge from 754.9 million in 2024. However, the cost of services provided also increased significantly – to 1 billion tenge from 438.8 million tenge, or 2.33 times. Selling expenses rose 2.4 times to 384.8 million tenge.
Notable is the sharp increase in labor costs – they rose to 304.1 million tenge in 2025 from 94.2 million in 2024, or 3.2 times. The number of employees was 94 people. The enterprise's retained earnings reached 278.4 million tenge at the end of 2025.
'Almaty Parking' is fully owned by the Almaty akimat, represented by the Department of Traffic Organization and Passenger Transport of Almaty.
The website of 'Almaty Parking' notes that the project should provide a sufficient number of paid parking spaces for local residents near their homes. The enterprise assures that money from parking payments goes to the budget and will be distributed to district akimats for improvement (landscaping, construction of sidewalks, sports and children's playgrounds, ramps, creation, repair and lighting of pedestrian zones, parks and squares).
The project aims to solve the problem of chaotic parking in congested areas of Almaty, unload the city's road network, and create conditions for comfortable movement of pedestrians, public transport, and cars.
According to the operator's website, the cost of parking in Almaty is 100 tenge per hour, but on some streets a tariff of 150 tenge per hour applies. Motorists must pay in advance within 15 minutes after parking. Residents living near paid parking lots have benefits.
