A public space in the Altyn Besik microdistrict of Almaty's Auezov district has been improved. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The 1-hectare area was renovated under the 'People's Participation Budget' project, according to the city akimat. The site on Trudovaya Street now features large and small football fields, a basketball court, a workout zone, and a modern children's play complex. Walking paths, new benches, and street lighting were also installed.

As part of landscaping, 30 trees and 300 shrubs were planted, and an automatic irrigation system was installed. For residents' safety, the area was equipped with video surveillance cameras.

The renovated space is designed for both sports and family recreation: children, youth, and adult residents of the microdistrict can spend time here.

In 2026, 29 projects for improving courtyards and public spaces will be implemented in the Auezov district under the 'People's Participation Budget'.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that Almaty had begun improving the area near the Kazakhfilm film studio. A thematic public space dedicated to the history of Kazakh cinema is planned there, with modern recreation areas and elements related to domestic cinematography.
