A full-fledged Japanese garden will appear in Almaty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The project was announced by the Almaty Urbanism Center. The Japanese garden will be located in the Bostandyk district on Satpayev Street. For a long time, there was a spontaneous vacant lot with parking.

According to representatives of the akimat, the project will combine natural landscape, elements of Japanese culture, and modern landscaping. It is expected that the park will become a new attraction for residents and guests of the city, where they can relax from the urban hustle.

The park will feature walking routes, recreation areas, and landscaping to make the space comfortable for citizens.

According to the concept, the garden will be designed in a traditional Japanese style — with natural materials, decorative stones, water elements, and thematic plants.

Before construction began, the project was shown to local residents.

"It is important for us that the new facility meets the expectations of citizens, so all suggestions and comments from meeting participants were carefully considered and accepted for further development," the Urbanism Center wrote.

When the Japanese garden will welcome its first Almaty residents has not yet been announced.

A similar project recently opened in Shymkent. The Japanese garden is located on the site of the "Keń Baba" park. Previously, there were amusement rides; now the focus is on tranquility and aesthetics.

However, the new space has already suffered from an influx of visitors. Complaints about careless treatment began to appear on social media. According to residents, some visitors wash baby strollers directly in the decorative ditch, enter areas with gravel, and trample the lawn.

Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle wrote about how an updated park appeared in Shymkent on the site of the former "Qıyal älemı".
