In Almaty, police found four women suspected of organizing a brothel for sex services. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the Almaty police department, information about the alleged "brothel" was received on the "102" hotline.

A patrol crew "Buran-220" was dispatched to the scene. The apartment contained women aged between 20 and 35. All of them had come to Almaty from different regions of Kazakhstan.

"It was preliminarily established that each performed her own role — one was involved in administration, another took requests, and two more, presumably, provided intimate services," the department said.

Police are now investigating who organized the underground establishment and how long it had been operating.

Earlier, "Kursiv" wrote that since the beginning of 2026, police in Almaty had identified 430 apartments where intimate services were provided. The owners of the premises were brought to administrative responsibility, and about 750 women were placed on preventive registration.
