A post by journalist Askhat Niyazov on Threads is gaining popularity — he posted a video of a female courier delivering orders with her parrot. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The video shows an Almaty woman walking with a courier backpack, with a parrot sitting on her shoulder. A string is tied to the bird's leg to prevent it from flying away.

In the comments, residents joke that now her parrot will have to pay taxes for its work. Many compared the woman to a courier who worked with a small child and worried that she might have to leave Almaty due to her popularity on social media.

"We wait for the minister to speak and announce that the parrot is wealthy with an IT education, his brother has a pawnshop in a cage, loans for two bags of feed, he has a direct path to minister, he cannot be a courier,"

"Now the minister will find the bird's entire genealogy and learn that there are relatives in warm regions and will drive the woman and the parrot there,"

"They already checked the database: the parrot has two apartments in Shymkent, an expensive car. Generally, he doesn't live poorly."

Overall, Kazakhs strongly support the woman who earns an honest living. Through their jokes, users imply that people with sufficient income do not become couriers. Regardless of education, relatives, and other factors, anyone may need such work.

A photo of a woman working as a courier with a baby in her arms went viral on social media. The young mother delivered orders in extreme heat, and her child was less than a year old. Users wanted to know her family situation and whether she needed help.

After that, Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Population Askarbek Yertayev stated that the woman has a husband who works and has an IT education. At the same time, he suggested that mothers working as couriers could be deprived of benefits, but later the Ministry of Labor denied this information. Later it became known that the family moved from Almaty to Shymkent.
