In Almaty, a situational center for providing students with dormitories has traditionally begun its work on the basis of the Kazakh National Women's Pedagogical University (QyzPU) ahead of the new academic year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The main goal of the center is to provide prompt and effective support to students who have not been able to find a place in a dormitory. Students who have not managed to book a place in a dormitory through the digital platforms of universities or have encountered difficulties during accommodation can directly contact the situational center.
Center specialists promptly review each application and, through the database of available places, offer temporary accommodation in appropriate dormitories or partner organizations. For prompt service, the center has organized 8 full-fledged workplaces.
Each workplace is equipped with modern computer equipment, access to digital databases, and a multi-channel communication system capable of receiving 10 calls simultaneously. This allows specialists to maintain continuous communication with the city's universities and dormitory administrations, promptly resolving student issues.
In addition, the center provides all necessary conditions for students and visitors. There is a waiting and rest area for applicants, a study corner, a coffee break area, as well as a conference hall for meetings and operational briefings.
