In Almaty, a man who harassed a girl in a public place and poured water on her has been detained. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The incident occurred in the Bostandyk district. The man attempted to get acquainted with a girl in a public place, but was refused. He then poured water on her and committed an indecent act.
The girl sought help from the police. During operational search measures, officers of the Bostandyk district police department identified the man and detained him, according to a police statement.
An administrative case was opened on the grounds of petty hooliganism and sent to court. The court found the man guilty and ordered administrative detention.
The police remind that indecent behavior in public places is unacceptable and entails liability under the Administrative Code of Kazakhstan.
