According to Ulysmedia.kz, the girl came to study at the Almaty university from Shymkent. She was a first-year student at the Faculty of Journalism. The tragedy occurred on the evening of November sixth in the student campus. At night, students in the dormitory were prohibited from leaving their rooms and going onto balconies.
Recall that a year ago, Kazakhstanis were shocked by the news of a KazNU student falling from the 14th floor of the rectorate building. At that time, problems in the girl’s family were cited as the preliminary cause of the tragedy.
Earlier, Kursiv LifeStyle wrote that on October 28, KazNU received a report of a bomb threat, but the information was not confirmed. Students and teachers were evacuated from the faculty buildings and the main building.
