In Almaty, police rescued an injured man. He was bleeding profusely and holding a knife and a brick. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the city police department, an alarm call was received by the Operational Control Center. Passersby reported that a bloodied man was in the Shanyrak-2 microdistrict of Alatau district.
Patrol officers arrived at the scene within minutes. Before the ambulance arrived, they provided first aid, stopped the bleeding, and handed him over to medics. The man was escorted by police to the hospital.

Preliminary data indicates the victim was intoxicated. He said he was celebrating his birthday but quarreled with other participants during the feast. The conflict escalated into a fight, in which he sustained serious injuries.
"Currently, police officers of the Alatau district are establishing all the circumstances of the incident, as well as the participants in the conflict. Based on the results of the investigation, their actions will be given a legal assessment," the police reported.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that in Pavlodar, teenagers stabbed a 63-year-old cemetery guard with a knife. And the day before, a man with a knife and a grenade was detained in Almaty.
