In the Nauryzbai district of Almaty, rescuers are extinguishing a fire in a ten-story residential complex on Zhunisov Street. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Smoke appeared in an apartment on the fourth floor. Units of the city emergency department arrived at the scene. A gas and smoke protection service unit was involved in extinguishing the fire.
"By the forces of the Emergency Department, 28 people, including 13 children, were rescued from the residential complex via the stairwell," the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported.
The fire was extinguished by the Ministry of Emergency Situations. There are no casualties or injuries. The cause of the fire is being established.
Firefighting operations
After receiving the fire report, rescuers immediately arrived at the scene. Smoke from an apartment on the fourth floor began to spread to other floors of the building. Employees of the gas and smoke protection service, equipped with special equipment, conducted search and rescue operations.
Rescue operation
Rescuers evacuated residents from the upper floors via stairwells. In total, 28 people, including 13 children, were rescued. No one was injured during the operation.
Consequences of the fire
The fire was completely extinguished. There are no dead or injured. Currently, expert work is being carried out to determine the cause of the fire.
