Firefighters stopped flames meters away from a residential building in Almaty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In Almaty, firefighters prevented fire from spreading to a residential building and a neighboring structure during a major fire in the Medeu district. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kazakhstan.
Details of the fire
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the fire occurred on Tatibekov Street. The roof of a one-story warehouse caught fire. The fire area was 280 square meters.
The work of rescuers was complicated by abnormal heat. High air temperature created a threat of rapid fire spread. However, emergency workers managed to quickly contain and completely extinguish the fire. There were no casualties.
Ministry statement
"During extinguishing, firefighters prevented the fire from spreading to a nearby private residential building, a neighboring building, and also prevented further spread of flames across the entire roof area. To eliminate hidden combustion sources, the roof structures were dismantled," the Ministry reported.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote about how rescuers prevented an explosion in a summer cottage area in Kostanay.
