Police in Almaty are investigating the circumstances of a tree falling on a car. According to the city's police department, the incident occurred during the day in the Almaly district. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
As a result of the tree falling, the car sustained mechanical damage. Fortunately, there were no people inside the vehicle at the time of the incident. No injuries were reported.
"Police officers immediately arrived at the scene, and the fact was registered. Currently, all circumstances of the incident are being established, and an appropriate decision will be made based on the investigation," the police statement said.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that on June 16, Almaty was hit by squally winds, a dust storm, and heavy rain. Due to the bad weather, trees and large branches fell in various districts of the city, damaging parked cars.
