Since the beginning of 2026, police in Almaty have identified 430 apartments where intimate services were provided. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The owners of the premises were brought to administrative responsibility, and about 750 women were placed on preventive registration, according to KTK TV channel.

According to the TV channel, police officers regularly conduct raids at addresses where intimate services are allegedly provided. Information is obtained through advertisement websites where contact numbers are posted, as well as from complaints by residents.

During one of the raids, journalists spoke with a woman working in such an apartment. She said she chose this job because of a convenient schedule that allows her to combine earnings with childcare. According to her, the monthly income is about 500,000 tenge.

As KTK notes, many women claim they found work online and are not acquainted with the business organizers. The cost of services, they say, starts from about 55,000 tenge, and in some cases, clients are offered installment payments.

Timur Nogaybayev, head of the Public Security Department of the Almaty Police Department, said that such inspections are carried out on an ongoing basis.

"We are conducting this work on an ongoing basis. Since the beginning of the year, we have identified about 430 such premises, the owners of which were brought to administrative responsibility under Article 450, under which fines of about 100 monthly calculation indices were imposed," Nogaybayev said.

According to police, the owners of the identified apartments have been fined in accordance with administrative legislation.
