A resident of Almaty broke a glass storefront and entered a beauty salon on Pushkin Street. He told the police officers who detained him that he had made a bet with a friend over whether he could get inside that way. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the city police department, the incident occurred around four in the morning in the Medeu district. Witnesses called "102" and reported the break-in at the salon.
The "Buran-617" patrol crew detained the suspect at the scene. According to police data, the man was drunk.
"The detainee was taken to the police. An investigation into the incident is underway, and his actions will be given a legal assessment," the department said.
Earlier, "Kursiv" reported that a man who brandished a knife on a bus in Almaty had been arrested.
