At a meeting of the Almaty maslikhat, an updated traffic management project was presented. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the project, unified requirements for the placement of parking spaces for electric scooters, mopeds and similar technical means are introduced. The document also defines the procedure for evacuation and storage of vehicles, as well as the installation of barriers and protective fences in courtyards.
At the same time, unhindered passage for ambulances, fire trucks and other emergency services remains a mandatory requirement. Earlier it was reported that electric scooters would be fitted with state registration numbers like cars.
In addition, it is planned to introduce special road markings for them on roads and sidewalks.
