Alatau Zharyk Kompaniyasy has announced an increase in the marginal price for retail electricity sales to 39.30 tenge per kWh excluding VAT (45.59 tenge per kWh including VAT) starting September 12, 2026. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The purchase cost of electricity from the single buyer (LLP Settlement and Financial Center for RES Support) increased by 23% — from 13 to 16 tenge per kWh.
For individuals, the base cost without volume differentiation will be 32.69 tenge excluding VAT (37.92 tenge including VAT) per kWh. A differentiated payment system remains in place (the final bill depends on consumption volume per registered person and the presence of an electric stove):
Tariff groups
**Group 2:** consumers using electricity for non-household purposes – 43.13 tenge per kWh excluding VAT (50.03 tenge including VAT);
**Group 3:** state institutions, state enterprises, legal entities with 50% or more state-owned voting shares (stakes in authorized capital) and affiliated legal entities; national investment holding; national companies and organizations with 50% or more shares (stakes) directly or indirectly owned by the national investment holding or national company, excluding organizations within the National Bank structure and legal entities with 50% or more voting shares owned by or under trust management of the National Bank – 43.43 tenge per kWh excluding VAT (50.38 tenge including VAT);
**Group 4:** consumers located in special economic industrial zones, organizations subordinate to the Presidential Property Management Department and its agencies, producers of socially significant food products – 39.30 tenge per kWh excluding VAT (45.59 tenge including VAT).
Tariffs for household consumers
For individuals and consumers using electricity for household needs, the tariff is differentiated depending on consumption volumes.
"Consumers using electricity for household needs still choose their tariff plan independently by submitting an application," the company reminded.
For consumers in the village of Ulken, Zhambyl district, Almaty region, the tariff for electricity sales services will be 19.89 tenge per kWh excluding VAT (23.07 tenge including VAT) for all groups.
