A drug supply channel from Zhambyl Region has been cut off in Almaty. During a special operation, two brothers previously convicted of drug crimes were detained. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to police, both suspects are residents of Zhambyl Region. "Police seized two boxes and three packages of narcotic substances, as well as 26 plants belonging to the cannabis group. According to expert findings, the seized items include over 100 kg of dried marijuana and over 13 kg of hashish," the police reported.
Currently, both suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility. The circumstances of the incident are being investigated.
