A ceremonial opening of an art installation dedicated to the legendary Dos-Mukasan band will take place in Almaty today. This was reported by the city's Department for the Development of Public Spaces. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The metal composition embodies a collective artistic image of the members of the famous musical group. The installation is 1.8 meters high and 3.5 meters wide. The art object is located on the renovated Masanchi Street between Abai Avenue and Satpayev Street.

The main feature of the installation is an interactive audio system. By pressing a special button, visitors can listen to popular songs of the Dos-Mukasan band. Thus, the object will not only complement the city's artistic space but also become an open-air music venue.

The installation of the art object in Almaty is not free. In 1967, students of the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute Dosym Suleev, Murat Kusainov, Kamit Sanbaev and Alexander Litvinov created a vocal-instrumental ensemble in the city. Later, this group became one of the most popular musical bands in Kazakhstan.

The ceremonial opening of the art installation will take place on October 22 at 14:00.
