A man has been arrested in Almaty for using force against a child on the playground of a residential complex, police reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The incident occurred on a children's playground and was captured by surveillance cameras. The footage shows the man approaching children and then pushing one of the boys. As a result, the child sustained bodily injuries.

According to police, the suspect is a resident of the same residential complex. Preliminary investigation indicates that the incident was triggered by a conflict between children during play, after which the man decided to take matters into his own hands.

A criminal case has been opened for causing bodily harm. The suspect has been arrested.

Necessary investigative actions are currently underway.

Police emphasized that any illegal actions against children will receive a legal assessment regardless of motives and circumstances.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received the Commissioner for Children's Rights in Kazakhstan, Dinara Zakieva. She reported to the head of state on a five-year plan of 158 measures for social support and legal protection of children, as well as on the work of the contact center 111 and QR-111 in schools: from October 2024 to June 2026, 167,000 messages and 4,523 calls were received from children.
