Police in Almaty are trying to identify a woman who, according to witnesses and the victim, beat a 17-year-old student on public transport. The girl was injured and hospitalized, while the suspect left the scene. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The victim, Kamilla Dzhurabayeva, has been in the hospital for several days. She said that on the day of the incident, she was returning from college and witnessed a conflict between a woman and her daughter. According to the girl, the mother was loudly scolding the child for missing a stop. Passengers tried to intervene for the girl, after which the situation turned aggressive.

"She grabbed me by my T-shirt and hit me several times on the head. Then she grabbed me by the hair and forced me to my knees. I underwent an examination. Doctors diagnosed me with a concussion and a hematoma on my head," said Kamilla Dzhurabayeva.

According to the student, the blows were mainly to the head. After the verbal altercation, the girl got off the bus, but the conflict did not end there.

The victim claims that the woman followed her to the bus stop, where the attack continued. Passersby intervened and led the girl away. Later, the student's parents arrived, but by then the suspect had already fled.

The girl's mother, Irina Klyuchnikova, believes that the aggression may have been triggered by filming the incident on a phone.

"This woman just turned around, saw that my daughter was filming, and attacked my child. It was just horror. She grabbed her by the hair, dragged her, hit her with her hands, then forced her to her knees. She said, 'Get on your knees.' I want to look into her eyes, as a mother. I want to see how it's possible to mock a child like that. Why did she beat my daughter like that? What kind of person is she?" she said.

After the incident, the family contacted the police. Currently, law enforcement is reviewing recordings from the scene and trying to identify the woman.

"A criminal case has been opened by the police department of the Alatau district. A legal assessment will certainly be given, and the objective circumstances of the incident will be established," said Saltanat Azirbek, official representative of the Almaty police department.

The police noted that for intentional infliction of minor harm to health, the perpetrator may face arrest for up to 50 days.

The victim's relatives ask anyone who witnessed the conflict or can help identify the woman to contact law enforcement.
