Nine people sought medical help after a passenger bus and a Toyota Highlander collided in Almaty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Tole Bi Avenue and Zhumaliev Street. According to preliminary data, the bus on route No. 201 was traveling west along Tole Bi Avenue. At that time, the Toyota Highlander was driving south on Zhumaliev Street.
The vehicles collided at the intersection. It was preliminarily established that the bus may have driven through a prohibiting traffic light signal.
After the accident, several ambulance crews and patrol units arrived at the scene. Nine people sought medical help. Information about their condition has not yet been provided.
Police conducted initial measures and ordered examinations, including an auto-technical one.
Specialists will need to reconstruct the sequence of events, establish the circumstances of the accident and determine the degree of responsibility of each participant.
