Emergency services in Almaty were alerted overnight after a report of a potential threat to the life of a woman and her six children. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the city police department, a distress call was received at the 102 dispatch center. It was reported that in a private house in the Alatau district, a woman was in a severe emotional state after a family conflict.
"Patrol police officers, juvenile police officers, a district inspector, and an ambulance crew immediately arrived at the scene. The woman was in the house with six children. The main task of the arriving officers was to ensure the safety of the family and prevent a tragedy. The police managed to calm the woman, after which the children, accompanied by juvenile police officers, were taken to the Alatau District Police Department," the department said.
The department clarified that the family is currently receiving necessary assistance. Psychologists, representatives of relevant state services, and non-governmental organizations have been involved in the work.
Almaty police reminded that in difficult life situations, it is important not to remain alone with the problem and to seek help in a timely manner, as this can save lives.
