A video is circulating on social media featuring a 12-year-old girl who claims that she and her 75-year-old grandmother lost their only home and ended up on the street due to fraudsters. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the publications, the incident occurred in the Bostandyk district of Almaty. The author of the video said that after the eviction, the elderly woman needed medical assistance and was taken to the hospital.
In the video, the girl stated that they sought help from a certain child rights organization but faced rude treatment. "I tried to tell him how it all happened. And he started saying that getting caught like that, giving away money — that's a cosmic level of stupidity. He didn't finish, but it was clear what he meant. And then he said we should accept it and let go of our home," the girl recounts in the video.
According to several media reports, after the story gained widespread public attention, Kazakhstan's children's ombudsman Dinara Zakieva became involved. It is reported that the case has been taken under control.
