The Almaty city administration has announced restrictions on traffic on two busy streets. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On the upcoming weekend, a gas pipeline crossing will be built under Abai Avenue and Zharokov Street. In this regard, from 06:00 on August 1 to 24:00 on August 2, 2026, temporary restrictions on vehicle traffic will be introduced in the area where construction and installation work will be carried out, according to the official statement.
The work is aimed at improving the reliability of the city's gas supply system and its further development.
Residents and guests of Almaty are advised to take the temporary restrictions into account and plan their routes in advance.
