In Almaty, police have detained four people in connection with the murder of a 61-year-old resident. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During the investigation, the circumstances of the crime, the identities of the suspects, and their possible involvement in the illegal seizure of the deceased's apartment were established.
"All four suspects have been placed in a temporary detention facility. Currently, the necessary operational and investigative measures are being carried out," police said.
A special investigative and operational group has been formed from the most experienced officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to investigate the criminal case. The investigation is under the personal control of the minister.
Recall that earlier, footage was captured showing the method of carrying a person with a bag over their head out of one of the multi-story buildings. The video raised suspicions among the man's neighbors. They also said that the criminals may have illegally seized the deceased's apartment.
