According to the Ministry of Justice, the products were illegally put up for sale under a counterfeit trademark. The inspection was initiated after a complaint from the rights holder.

The operation to suppress illegal trade lasted 15 hours. As a result, employees of the Almaty Justice Department seized counterfeit goods and drew up an administrative protocol under Article 158 of the Administrative Code.

During the inspection, representatives of the department faced resistance from the inspected entity. Protocols were drawn up against three individuals under Article 462 of the Administrative Code.

The case materials were sent to court to clarify the circumstances and identify the perpetrators.

The Ministry stated that it will continue its work to protect intellectual property rights.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that demand for air conditioners in major cities of Kazakhstan more than doubled, and in Astana interest in new and used models increased almost threefold. At the same time, prices for new equipment changed slightly, while the cost of used air conditioners and installation services varies significantly depending on the city.
