A 45,000-seat stadium meeting UEFA requirements is being built in Almaty, the city administration reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The total area allocated for the project will be approximately 32 hectares. The stadium, being built along the Kuldzha and Talgar highways, will fully comply with UEFA's Category IV requirements.
This will allow hosting international football matches and major sporting events, the statement said.
The project includes, in addition to the main football arena, training fields, modern infrastructure for athletes and teams, a fan zone, security systems, and comprehensive landscaping of the adjacent area.
Construction is planned to be completed in March 2028.
