A 39-year-old man was detained in a grocery store in Almaty's Almaly district while attempting to steal spirits. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the sales staff, he had repeatedly stolen goods before, but this time he failed to leave with the alcohol.
The theft attempt
The man intended to take the spirits unnoticed, but store employees spotted yet another theft attempt. Instead of free alcohol, he was met by police officers: the sales staff held the suspect until their arrival.
Police action
Arriving police officers detained the man and seized the stolen goods. His possible involvement in other similar crimes is currently being investigated.
