In Almaty, work continues on returning unused land plots to state ownership and involving them in economic circulation. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to the city administration, by court decision, eight land plots with a total area of over 14 hectares in the Turksib district have been returned to state ownership. They were previously intended for commercial agriculture but had not been used for their intended purpose for a long time.
As noted by the administration, the owner of the plots was issued a order to eliminate violations of land legislation, but the requirements were not fulfilled. After reviewing the case, the court decided to confiscate the land in favor of the state.
