Unfavorable meteorological conditions are expected in five cities of Kazakhstan on October 30. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to weather forecasters, unfavorable meteorological conditions (NMU) are predicted in Almaty, Aktobe, Atyrau and Shymkent. In Astana, unfavorable conditions are expected at night.

Unfavorable weather conditions arise from a combination of calm, light wind, fog and temperature inversion. In such weather, pollutants accumulate in the surface layer of the atmosphere, which can lead to a deterioration in air quality.

During these periods, the risk of negative health effects increases, especially for people with chronic diseases. Air pollution levels are also affected by wind speed, precipitation, humidity and air temperature.

Residents are advised to reduce time spent outdoors, especially near roads and other sources of pollution. Children and pregnant women are advised to avoid long walks.

People with respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, as well as allergy sufferers, are advised to carry necessary medications. Physical activity outdoors should be limited, and workouts should be moved indoors where possible.
