On July 21, adverse meteorological conditions are expected in Almaty. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
According to specialists from Kazhydromet, adverse weather conditions occur when calm, light wind, fog, and temperature inversion combine. As a result, pollutants accumulate in the surface layer of the atmosphere, leading to poor air quality.
Forecasters warn that during such periods, the risk of negative health impacts increases, especially for people with chronic diseases. The level of air pollution is affected by wind speed, precipitation, humidity, and air temperature.
Residents are advised to reduce time spent outdoors, especially near roads and other pollution sources. Children and pregnant women are advised to avoid long walks.
People with respiratory and cardiovascular diseases, as well as allergy sufferers, are recommended to carry necessary medications. Specialists advise limiting outdoor physical activity and, if possible, moving activities indoors.
Earlier, Kursiv reported that on July 21, the weather in Kazakhstan would sharply deteriorate. According to Kazhydromet, a northwestern cyclone will bring rain with thunderstorms, heavy downpours, hail, squally wind, and dust storms to most of the country.
