In the mountains of Almaty region, rescuers evacuated a tourist injured by a rockfall. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
During a hike in the Left Talgar gorge at an altitude of 2,970 meters, a rock fell on a tourist, who was evacuated in serious condition.
Rescue operation
After receiving the report, rescuers from two control and rescue posts rushed to the scene. Upon arrival, they identified the victim, provided first aid, and assessed his condition as serious.
The rescuers transported the victim through difficult mountain terrain towards the Kishi Talgar pass, and along the way they were joined by volunteers from the Almaty city mountaineering federation.
Evacuation continues
The joint evacuation continued to the Shymbulak mountain resort. From there, the victim was handed over to the Disaster Medicine Center team for hospitalization in the city clinical hospital.
