In Almaty, rescuers found two teenagers who went to the mountains on their own and did not return. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

After receiving the signal, the city rescue service launched a search and rescue operation. They examined the teenagers' possible routes, taking into account the mountainous terrain.

The teenagers were found near Tourist peak in Karasai district. Their condition was assessed as satisfactory, no medical assistance was required.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations reminded that before going to the mountains, it is necessary to plan the route in advance, inform relatives of the expected return time, take a charged phone and consider weather conditions.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that two female climbers from Russia were injured during ascents to the peaks of the Zailiysky Alatau. A 22-year-old girl broke her leg on Oktyabrenok peak, another 34-year-old tourist was injured while climbing Mayakovsky peak. Both were evacuated by Mi-8 helicopter and taken to Almaty City Clinical Hospital No. 4.
