In the mountains of Almaty, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations came to the aid of 5 tourists. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

In the area of Butakov waterfall at an altitude of over 2000 meters, five young men born in 2007 lost their way while descending from Bukreev peak and got lost. Realizing they needed help, they called 112.

Specialists of the Rescue Service of the Department of Emergency Situations of Almaty city promptly arrived at the scene. The rescuers found the tourists and safely escorted them down to the "Butakty" control and rescue station. None of them required medical assistance.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges to plan the route in advance, correctly assess your capabilities, and inform relatives about the planned route before going to the mountains.
