In the mountains of Almaty, rescuers evacuated two young people born in 2008 who were stranded on Satpayev Peak at an altitude of over 4,000 meters and could not continue their descent on their own. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

The report of the incident came in the evening before. Rescuers established contact with the teenagers and determined their location.

Employees of the Rescue Service of the Department of Emergency Situations of Almaty and the BAU Rescue Service joined the operation. The work was complicated by nighttime and difficult mountain terrain, but rescuers successfully completed the evacuation.

Today, the young people were safely lowered to the eco-post, where they were met by their parents. They did not require medical assistance.

Earlier, Kursiv reported that in the North Kazakhstan region, rescuers evacuated three people, including a child, across the Yesil River.

Details of the rescue operation

According to rescuers, the teenagers climbed Satpayev Peak and on the way back became very tired and stuck in a dangerous place. They did not have special equipment, so they could not descend on their own. Rescuers set out at night, overcame difficult terrain, and reached the teenagers. They secured them with special gear and conducted a safe descent. The evacuation took several hours, and no one was injured.

Safety precautions

Rescuers recommend checking the weather forecast before going to the mountains, taking appropriate equipment, and going with an experienced guide. Also, when choosing high-altitude routes, physical fitness should be considered. This incident once again reminds of the importance of safety measures during climbing.

Conclusion

Thanks to the prompt and coordinated actions of the rescuers, the lives of two teenagers were saved. This demonstrates the professionalism of the Almaty rescue service and readiness for emergencies in mountainous areas. Parents and teenagers are advised to follow safety rules before going to the mountains.
