Almaty Su has denied information about the transfer of the water supply system to a third-party company. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the company, information circulated in some media and social networks about the transfer of Almaty's water supply and sewerage system to the management of a third-party company does not correspond to reality.

"Almaty Su is a state municipal enterprise and the operator of the city's water supply and sanitation systems. The enterprise continues to perform its functions as usual. The transfer of management of Almaty's water supply and sanitation system to other companies is not envisaged. Thus, information about the transfer of the city's water supply and sewerage system to a third-party company is unreliable," the enterprise's statement says.

Earlier, Kursiv wrote that investments in Kazakhstan's water sector grew to 677 billion tenge.
